Grammatical and syntax guidelines for authors about how to use the term.

Guidelines for tag usage.
- Example

One or more examples to illustrate how to use the term.
- Note

Additional information such as exceptions, synonyms, and so on.
In general, terms that are listed in the American Heritage Dictionary do not appear in this glossary. However, if the definition in the American Heritage Dictionary is not clear enough, or if there is a specific variation of a term is used in the GNOME Desktop, the term appears in this glossary.
